SAFETY BELT / HARNESS

In good condition and securely fastened to the frame or reinforced mounting point.

Reinforcement are minimum of 75mm (3 inches) by 75mm (3 inches) by 3mm (1/8 inch) steel plate.

All harnesses must be labelled or stamped by the manufacturer with their product date or an expiration (used by) date. Harness to be no older than 10 years from date of manufacturer. Onus is on the competitor/owner to ensure that all Harnesses are in date. Out of date Harnesses will require exclusion from the event on the day.

If sedan and slower than 12.00 seconds (1/4 mile equivalent) or is a Modern Street Vehicle and is slower than 10.00 (1/4 mile equivalent) and running at Off-Street Event, then minimum of quick release, lap/sash (three-point) type required, complying with Australian Standard E35 or AS2596. For the purpose of these rules, a Modern Street Car is one that was delivered from factory with a minimum of a drivers air bag and four wheel disc brakes.
